Euro-Axles was established in 1983 and has since gone from strength to strength through its reputation for quality and reliability, aided by the dedication and skill of its workforce.
The current directors Andrew Goodridge and Craig Beech front a first class team, fully skilled in fitting air suspension, engineering wheelbase alterations and chassis extensions and reductions to correct specification.

MID/TAG VEHICLE CONVERSIONS
At Euro-Axles we fit Granning Lynx axle and suspension. They are the UK's primary air suspension and axle manufacturers. Using this system ensures that the tyres maintain better contact with the ground, transmitting less shock through the suspension and into the chassis. If we fit a mid axle to a typical 3. 8m wheelbase we undertake all of the re-positioning of air tanks and diesel tanks to suit this application. Steel diesel tanks are shortened as part of the job, but we do charge a small fee for shortening alloy tanks. All alterations are done in house.
Tag axles are done by means of reducing the wheelbase if necessary, extending the chassis and fitting the rear axle and suspension.
All parts on our conversions are new, whether it be axles, shockers or chassis sections. We only fit second hand parts if they are supplied by the customer.

CHASSIS MODIFICATIONS
Types of conversion undertaken are 4 x 2 tractors into a 6 x 2 rigid vehicle or just a basic 4 x 2 tractor to rigid. Tractors converted into rigids can be made into a 6 x 2 by means of fitting either a mid or tag axle depending on the wheelbase and chassis length.

UPRATING AND DOWNRATING
We at Euro-Axles also have the facility to increase or decrease the gross weight of your vehicle.

All paperwork is submitted to the Ministry for type approval and all the relevant alterations can be carried out by ourselves.

Additional axles can also reduce your road fund licence.
